He currently serves on the board of directors of the Research Institute for Home Care, formerly the Alliance for HomeHealth Quality & Innovation, and also on the Hospice & Home Care Foundation of North Carolina. Bell currently serves on the National Alliance for Care at Homes Professional Education Committee.
I wasn’t in the health care field. Initially, my father actually owned an assisted care facility, which he bought in 2006. I’ve been in homehealth for 12 years, but I’ve been in hospice for five. I kind of had a roundabout way of getting into hospice. The only constant is change.
I started as a hospice CNA in 2006 and worked in hospice and palliative care across various clinical roles before transitioning to the operations side and eventually into executive leadership. Thats why its key to learn from both the successes and challenges homehealth providers have faced along the way.
