The center, Cottage in the Meadow, opened in September 2012 fueled by more than a decade of philanthropic donations. Delaware Hospice also provides bereavement support and nonmedical transitional services. Dubbed Julia House, the facility will provide inpatient hospice and serve as an outpatient palliative care clinic.

But what brought him to hospice was the bereavement care he and his family received following a loss. The company’s affiliate Suncoast acquired its PACE program in 2012, prior to the formation of Empath in 2014. The organization is the parent company of 17 affiliates and two philanthropic foundations.

The hospice provider also offers palliative care, veteran and bereavement services, and durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies. I worked in Phoenix at the sheriff’s office from 1976 to 2012. We also began a texting communications program, which will enhance our bereavement program. Stoneridge Hospice launched in 2020.
