Fetzer was previously associate medical director at Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care, now part of the AMITA Health system. Her past roles since 2012 have included clinical and executive positions in emergency and palliative medicine, as well as in hospice. The organization operates an inpatient hospice facility in that area.

There’s an organization that I took my training from, which began, I want to say, in 2012. It was started by a social worker who really saw some gaps in care with those at end-of-life, particularly those with chronic long-term illness, having important conversations. It’s been around for a while.
