As a nurse practitioner, what led you to begin a hospice program? I became a registered nurse in 2012 and received my nurse practitioner degree in 2017. We can close that gap.

There was a patient who was living in Seattle at a skilled nursing facility. And she was from Oregon, of course, and in Oregon in 2012, she had completed an advanced directive for stopping eating and drinking once she had advanced dementia. And I knew it was a matter of time before this came along. People are, oh, I know that they are.
