At the nonprofit VNS Health , where I worked, our homehealthnurses were not ones to turn their backs on the communities we served and lived in. There was a great deal of misunderstanding and spreading of harmful misinformation about what HIV/AIDS was.
In honor of this month, we express our appreciation for homehealthnurses, hospice nurses, and nurses who work in the skilled nursing facilities that partner with us as hospice and homehealth providers. This allows individuals to continue recovering from the comfort of their own homes.

HomeHealth aides are available to assist with activities of daily living such as bathing and personal care. Spiritual support is provided by the Hospice chaplain and socialworkers are also available. Private Duty HomeHealthNurses care for patients with chronic illness or injury on a long-term basis.
